An industrial controller you program by describing it

Our own STM32-based controller and the Shree-Mazu Workbench, which generates and flashes its firmware from a canvas or a plain-English request.

The controller board with its stacking shields, an enclosure and a touch panel showing machine controls
The Shree-Mazu Workbench: devices wired on the canvas, and the AI assistant turning a request into a rule
A touch panel running the Workbench on a CNC router, with live signals and a rule proposed by the AI assistant

The challenge

Small automation jobs still mean ladder logic or embedded C, so every change waits for a specialist. We wanted industrial I/O that a machine builder can reprogram without writing firmware.

What we built

We designed the SMZ-F4000 board, with isolated I/O, a protected 9–24 V input and stackable shields, and the Shree-Mazu Workbench: place devices on a canvas, wire them with a click, describe behaviour to a local AI assistant, then generate, build and flash the STM32 firmware in one step.

Engineering highlights

  • AI assistant runs on a local engine, so no cloud account is needed
  • Google Blockly rules for logic beyond simple if-then
  • Simulation mode to test logic before the hardware is wired
  • Live monitor showing I/O values, events and logs
  • Relay, 3-axis stepper and Wi-Fi / RS-485 shields on one expansion header
